Pastors Brian and Michele Ruggles - Lead Pastors

Pastors Brian & Michele grew up in North Dakota and Florida, respectively. They met in Tulsa, OK at Oral Roberts University and were married 11 months later on August 5, 1989. Pastor Brian went on to graduate from ORU, while Michele worked for the university. After graduation Pastors Brian & Michele pastored a small church in West Tulsa for nearly three years. They then attended Victory Christian Center, where they both also attended Victory Bible Institute. After graduating from VBI, Pastor Brian was put on the Pastoral Staff of Victory Christian Center and served in administrating and teaching at VBI for four years. For the first two years of marriage, Michele worked as an Early Learning Center Assistant Teacher & for the next 15 years as a Program Coordinator & an Administrative Assistant for two different family practice residency programs.
Knowing that God would have them pastor a church again, through a series of events in 2000 & 2001, God made it clear to Pastors Brian & Michele that they were to move to Ankeny, IA to pioneer Word of Victory Outreach Center. Starting with a small handful of people, they have seen the Lord faithfully work in people's lives and continuing to bless and grow the church. In July of 2008 Pastor Brian & Michele were blessed to adopt Seth & Elliana from Guatemala. They enjoy serving the Lord and His people in this community and believe that the Lord has much in store for the church.
