Life Stories
Melanie's Story
Word of Victory is my home. Since I first set foot through the door in 2006, God began to change my heart. I remember my first time there, I had never seen a worship service like the one I attended. These people were really worshiping God! They weren't paying attention to anyone else, their eyes were closed and they were focused on God. Now I must admit, it was a little strange to me, but a desire was put in my heart to worship God the way they did. I wanted what they had. What I had been searching for, Jesus led me too. Pastor Brian always seemed to give an alter call, and not just for salvation, but for believers, challenging them where they were in their walk and helping them to grow. I knew I had found my home. These people became my friends. They were full of love. They shared my burden for my husband's salvation with me. They prayed with me and agreed with me. They forgave me and welcomed me back when I lost my faith and went back into the world. I thank God for his faithfulness, and for directing my steps to Word of Victory. -Melanie Bieker |
Kim's Story
I have been a part of the Word of Victory family for over 12 years. I started coming to Word of Victory Outreach Center in 2002 and had never gone to church before I started coming here. My life was a disaster. I was walking down a path of misery, depression, and was using drugs to occupy the emptiness inside of me that was consuming my heart. God had ordered a series of events that had led me to Word of Victory. It is here that God has taught me and continues to teach me His ways that have led me to victory in many areas of my life. He has placed me in a family where I can serve and grow. It is a place where God encourages, supports and strengthens me in my daily walk with Him through others. My
roots have grown deep here at Word of Victory because of “His River” of grace that flows abundantly into my life. -Kim McClish |
